You know what the technology promises.

We start with the result you need – and find out what it takes to get there.

It’s how we do this:

BattlefieldTechnologyCompanyEconomicsState

“What is actually happening here, and what is the optimal course of action?”

This is where our work begins.

We provide independent decision intelligence to defence technology manufacturers, institutional investors, and sovereign buyers. Every inquiry is systematically evaluated across five integrated operational layers:

Battlefield

With direct field access, we evaluate technologies from the individual operator up to command level. We verify whether systems marketed as “combat-proven in Ukraine” deliver reported operational efficacy, identifying operator feedback, failure points, performance degradation, and emerging countermeasures. This provides rapid, unvarnished insight directly from the field, tracking performance dynamics over time.

Technology

Leveraging senior technical analysts, we scrutinise the reality behind claimed performance specifications, production capacities, pricing structures, scalability, and competitive advantages. We determine whether a technological edge is genuine and assess its projected operational lifespan.

Company

We conduct deep-dive corporate intelligence going beyond formal ownership structures and financial statements. We assess how closely actual operations align with representations made to partners or investors — verifying key operational drivers, true manufacturing capacities, supply chain dependencies, and critical personnel. This uncovers material risks that conventional legal or financial due diligence often misses.

Economics

We integrate microeconomic analysis (unit economics, manufacturing scaling, supply chain dependencies, and lifecycle maintenance) with macroeconomic defence trends (budget trajectories, procurement cycles, capital availability, and export avenues). This contextualises a technology or enterprise within the real costs of scaling, addressable market demand, and long-term economic viability.

State & Regulatory

In defence, formal rules and balance sheets capture only part of the ecosystem. We engage directly with regulatory bodies, procurement officials, and key decision-makers in Ukraine and relevant international jurisdictions. This enables us to identify actual decision drivers and streamline communication, preventing bureaucratic friction from stalling strategic objectives.

Dynamic Analysis & Lasting Advantage

In defence technology, static assessments quickly become obsolete. A system demonstrating high efficacy today may lose its advantage within months as adversaries adapt tactics and technology. We evaluate how effectiveness evolves, what drives those shifts, and how rapidly a manufacturer can iterate.

This addresses the vital question for any investor or buyer:

Will the technological and economic advantage of this capability remain relevant by the time investment, scaling, or procurement is complete?

Delivering Practical Clarity

Our work combines field research, open-source intelligence (OSINT), corporate intelligence, technical audits, economic modelling, and primary regulatory engagement.

However, research is not our final deliverable. It is a tool designed to provide clear, actionable answers: identifying key market players, isolating high-value products, negotiating optimal terms, and navigating regulatory hurdles.

Examples include:

  • Does the technology deliver the operational performance and competitive edge claimed by the manufacturer? Will that edge persist over the next six to twelve months?
  • What is the true operational capacity behind stated production volumes, sales figures, and scaling plans?
  • Who actually drives approval, testing, procurement, or investment decisions in a specific jurisdiction?
  • Why did a specific transaction, regulatory process, or market entry stall despite meeting formal prerequisites — and what specific actions will unblock it?

We do not replace traditional due diligence; we bridge the critical gaps between its components. The result is a concise Decision Brief tailored directly for executive leadership — clearly separating verified facts from unverified assumptions, highlighting key risks and opportunities, and outlining the essential conditions required before committing capital.

Your dedicated team, tailored to your exact challenge.

War as a system

Five years of continuous work on the front line provide something no research alone can deliver — context.

The FĀRVART team brings together a researcher-fixer with five years of frontline experience and an extensive source network, a UAV developer with combat-field experience, one of the early architects of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, a military strategist with NATO training, and a lawyer with deep expertise in Ukraine’s legal and regulatory environment, including technology transfer.

For each specific challenge, we bring in the best independent specialists from the market, building the team around the question that needs to be answered.

This allows us to see technology not in isolation, but as part of a system — people, doctrine, logistics, regulation, terrain, adaptation and the adversary — and determine whether it can deliver the result the client actually needs.
